Georgia Tech has covered and won more than any team the last two seasons as an underdog against top 35 ranked programs.
They didn't play their best last Saturday, but game plans had to be altered when previous starting QB Haynes King still had issues with his throwing shoulder. He still can run, which may be an issue for Georgia who somehow gave up 226 yards on the ground to UMass last weekend.
This game may not be quite as important as it looks for The Bulldogs. They have two losses, but because of recent upsets, they will be playing in the SEC title game. No matter what, the winner of that game will get a playoff opportunity. At the time of this writing, I'm not sure who will be under center for The Yellowjackets, but King's young backup-Aaron Philo has looked capable. King should at least be available as a decoy, and was 3 for 3 against NC State last Saturday though all short passes.
In addition he runs very well and has 468 yards on the ground this season.
Hopefully, it's safe to assume that the team that beat previously undefeated Miami a few weeks ago, can come within 20 points of Georgia.
