I'm not thrilled about the big number, especially when we've already given out a double-digit favorite in the NFL for Sunday.
For what it's worth, and irrespective of this game, all double-digit NFL favorites have covered this season.
Anyway, this may be another game influenced by weather. It'll be played in Atlanta in Bobby Dodd stadium, which can be impacted by strong winds more than many other venues. The last two seasons Georgia Tech has been one of the most enigmatic teams in college football. They seem to win when they shouldn't and then lose as favorites.
Hopefully, that's not the case on Thursday evening.
The Wolfpack have a young quarterback coming into a tough situation. Besides being windy, it's one of his first away games and its senior night. This contest could favor the better running team.
NC State is 62nd in run defense. Georgia Tech is 16th in run defense.
NC State is 109th in run offense. Georgia Tech is 29th in run offense.
NC State has given up 19 rushing touchdowns.
Georgia Tech has only given up 8.
On paper this looks easy, but we're giving more than 7 points.
Hopefully, it plays out as anticipated.
