This looks like another game where are subscribers, who get the picks early, got a better number than the closing line.
Hopefully I didn't miss anything, because I think The Cougars should be favored this evening.
Houston has been poorly coached the last two seasons. They almost always had more of something than teams they played. That was penalties.
The Cougar boosters and athletic director finally had enough and fired coach Holgerson at the end of last season.
Houston started this season poorly, but their new coach Fritz just wins wherever he goes. They have two surprising wins in succession against Utah and then Kansas State.
In addition, it seems they've been recruiting better than tonight's opponent, Arizona.
The Wildcats do have talent, but their inconsistency and quarterback regression makes them suspect.
There are also injuries to key players that could be an issue.
As recently as last week they had discussed making staffing changes, instead many of the coaches have been out recruiting.
Their head coach Brennan has a huge contract and isn't going anywhere. He last coached at San Jose State and ended last season with a series of wins. Otherwise, he didn't impress and got crushed by bad teams in his few bowl appearances.
