It hasn't been easy for UCLA this season. They lose their head coach to Ohio State and then their respected defensive coordinator to rival USC. In addition, their travel schedule has arguably been the most difficult in college football.
They did have a bye week in between, but they are back home after almost traveling cross country two games in succession, covering both games as the underdog.
A little early money went on UCLA.
It may be justified.
Iowa finally has an offense this season, but will be without their starting quarterback and possibly tight end.
The Hawkeye's main threat, running back Kaleb Johnson is not a surprise anymore. He's produced most of the team's offense and has averaged 3.5 more yards per carry than last season.
In addition, the Bruins have played one of the toughest strength of schedules in college football and are still an impressive 11th against the run.
UCLA's defense has given up a few more yards per game against similar opponents, but Iowa's defense has been less effective on the road.
