This is Coastal Carolina's homecoming weekend.
You might think that it's advantageous to the home team, but it often isn't.
There are often extracurricular activities for the host. At the least, some can be distracting, and many colleges try to schedule weaker opponents for homecoming weeks.
Scheduling can be done well in advance, but this can motivate visiting teams.
The Ragin' Cajuns are 5-1, with their only loss to a good Tulane team.
Louisiana played better than the Green Wave, but gave up a Pick 6, a bomb for a touchdown, and a kickoff return for a touchdown. They had more total yards than Tulane who previously were very competitive against both Kansas State and Oklahoma.
Coastal Carolina has some size, but issues with their passing game. Their receivers drop more passes than almost any team in college football. Last week their starting quarterback only had 5 completions. In addition, their punter is pretty bad, often giving teams good field position.
One note, I would not suggest wagering on this game if you didn’t get your bet in early. At the time of this writing The Ragin' Cajuns are now minus 5 and a half, but we got our subscribers in at -3.5.
