Arguably, The Browns shouldn’t have covered against The Eagles last Sunday.
A missed block by the Eagles turned a touchdown opportunity into a field goal attempt. That field goal gets blocked and Cleveland runs it in for a touchdown. That was The Brown’s only touchdown in the game.
Many are wondering why Watson hasn’t been benched. His stats and the team’s offensive numbers are the worst in the league in many categories. My guess is that they were waiting for the return of running back Nick Chubb. If the offense still doesn’t perform they’ll have a better reason to start Jameis Winston.
Winston has always had talent, but turnovers have been his problem. No window has ever been too small for him. That works in college, not the NFL.
One writer had a funny idea to help Cleveland get rid of their 230 million dollar burden. Trade Watson and a first round pick to any takers. Not quite as dumb as giving the Texans 3 first round draft picks, a 3rd rounder, and two 4th rounders, but close.
