It dropped after The Bengals defense had a players only meeting to discuss effort and motivation.
They’ve given up an average of 37.67 points in their last 3 games.
Maybe they play better facing a pedestrian Giants offense, but team meetings don’t often translate into spontaneous improvement.
And the Giants offense has been better than expected. They’re ranked close to the middle of all NFL teams with an average strength of schedule.
Their QB played well last weekend, even without Nabors and Singletary. The young players have been contributing and Singletary may be back for this game.
Cincy can score, but their defense is ranked towards the bottom in many categories. In addition:
1) The Giants like to blitz, and they lead the league in Sacks. That can be an issue if a secondary is weak, which it is.
2) Many teams have had sustained drives against the Giants who only have 1 interception on the season.
3) The Bengals wide receivers are getting healthier.
