Other times presumptive early analysis can be a mistake. We took our chances and again subscribers got a better number than the probable closing line.
Texas may have given Notre Dame a blueprint to help defend standout Buckeye receiver-Jeremiah Smith. He had one reception for 3 yards. Unless he's injured, that won't happen again, but Ohio State’s passing game may be a little easier to defend.
In his last game their quarterback-Will Howard had decent numbers and a QBR of 90, but I wasn’t as impressed as everyone else. Maybe he lights-up the scoreboard on Monday evening, but there could be flaws in his game. He threw into tight coverage against Texas way too often, and was lucky on quite a few completions.
In addition, in their last game Notre Dame's secondary was pretty much lockdown in short yardage situations. They'll be in trouble if Ohio State can modify their game plan, but the Irish defense is well-coached. Draft boards have Notre Dame quarterback-Riley Leonard probably getting drafted on day 3. I think he goes earlier.
