The Green Bay Packers at The Philadelphia Eagles

Released to our subscribers on Monday, January 6, 2025
This number may seem surprisingly large because The Packers at 11-6, have talent, but there could be some matchup issues. Green Bay has one of the better rushing offenses in the league (146.8 yards per game).
On Saturday they’ll be facing one of the tougher running defenses that is getting some players back. Green Bay’s passing game has regressed. They are the 5th worst in the league in their last 3 games. At the time this game was released to subscribers, there was a possibility of key wide receiver injuries to be announced.
Philadelphia has been lucky with injuries. They arguably have the fewest of any playoff team. They have TE Dallas Goedert back, defensive line players back to add depth, one of the best offensive lines in football, and a deep secondary.
In addition:
1) Matt LaFleur is losing some of his luster.
2) You never know, but it seems like team attitude in Philly is as good as it can be.
Running back Saquon Barkley sacrificed his chance of getting the all-time rushing record by not playing last Sunday, so that he and his offensive line would be fresher for this game.
It’s a big number, but I like The Philadelphia Eagles -4.5
