Iowa finally has or had an offense this year. But maybe not today. They did beat some better teams at the end of the season:

But:
1)Maryland played with their backup quarterback who threw 2 interceptions.
2)They just got by an adequate Nebraska team after going scoreless until almost 11 minutes into the 3rd quarter, and just winning on a field goal as the clock ran out. Iowa will be using Brenden Sullivan at quarterback as Cade McNamara enters the transfer portal. He has good, but very limited stats in 2 of 3 games. They're a run first team and will be without top running back- Kaleb Johnson, who accounted for 43% of Iowa’s total yardage.

Considerations for Missouri:
1)Missouri should have covered against Boston College(they did win), but lost the luck and referee factor.
2)They were crushed by Alabama when they had Drew Pyne at quarterback most of the game (3 interceptions) who was afraid to throw the ball.
3) Starting quarterback -Brady Cook has been in 4 bowl games, and is fighting for relevance in the 2025 draft. Right now, he's probably a late round pick. Missouri has attracted better personnel with more NIL money and some large donors. Iowa can't compete, and even though under contract Kirk Ferentz may not be with the program that much longer.

FYI-Mizzou did attract Beau Pribula-quarterback from Penn State for next season for ambitious NIL money.
Iowa wanted him.
This could be more of a defensive game, but Iowa may be missing two many key components.

In addition: Missouri may have a little value because they didn't beat Arkansas by much in their last game. But Arkansas was actually a pretty good team, beating Texas Tech in the Liberty Bowl, and Auburn and Tennessee during the regular season. Arkansas also held Texas to 13 points until close to the 4th quarter.

This will be the last game for many veteran starters (today veteran could mean two years), many were on last year's team that beat Ohio State in The Cotton Bowl as 4 and a half point underdogs.
