HORSE RACING - WEEKLY, MONTHLY, AND SEASON PACKAGES AVAILABLE

PICK 135 - NFL - Carolina vs Tampa Bay - Sunday December 29, 2024

Dec 29, 2024 - 01:36 PM

Wanted to add some notes, subsequent to our release on this game.

Many are asking why the line moved for The Carolina Panthers.

1) Not only was leading rusher Chuba Hubbard put on IR, but now they're unexpectedly down some offensive linemen.

2) Bryce Young has been playing better, but the loss of these players could be an issue.

3) As surprising as this may sound, one of the easier positions to replace can sometimes be running back.  But that may be a problem today.  Miles Sanders is gone, and Chuba Hubbard was playing like an All-Pro.

4) Sometimes backup running backs surprise, but unfortunately the floor is
pretty low for today.  They have 35 yards combined for the season, and have either not practiced with the first string,  or even practiced with the team.

Sorry for the news, but if you haven't bet on Carolina yet, you may want to pass.

What follows is the initial Write Up that we sent to our subscribers.

Sincerely,
John

The Carolina Panthers at The Tampa Bay Bucs

Released to our subscribers on Thursday, December 26, 2024

Right now, The Panthers are arguably the only non-playoff team that refuses to acknowledge that their season is over.

Bryce Young's numbers aren't appreciably different from last year, but visually you can see improvement. Carolina's only double-digit loss since October (when they were traveling two weeks in succession and ending up in Denver) was to Dallas.  That was just a wierd game. Dallas got some lucky bounces and an interception on what looked like a Carolina touchdown.

The Panthers fought to the wire the last time they played Tampa, while losing in overtime.  They can make this game close if they play with the same intensity.

At the very least, maybe we can expect a late score and backdoor cover.

I Like The Carolina Panthers +8.5
