Louisiana Tech is replacing Marshall who had too many defections. Both The Bulldogs and Knights had similar strengths of schedules with Army's a little skewed because they played Navy and Notre Dame.
Both of those contests were double-digit losses. In defense of The Black Knights, they didn't get any time off before The Army Navy game, while The Midshipmen were a little more rested. Still, if you interview anyone in the program, they'll say that it's always the most important game of their season. It may not show, but The Bulldogs didn't play as badly against better competition as some boxscores may indicate. According to reports, they're ready and thrilled to now participate in a bowl game. We'll go with that, but what are they supposed to say.
Following are a few things that favor Louisiana Tech's ATS chances:
1) Even though wins were tough to come by, their program is improving.
2) The game location is close: Rustin to Shreveport is less than 70 miles away.
3) Army has lost its’ top running back (Kanye Udoh) who is transferring to Arizona State. This is a surprise and may make things a little more difficult for Bryson Daily.
This is a big number, that could easily get a back-door cover.
I like The Louisiana Tech Bulldogs +17.5
