This game opened at Oklahoma -9, with all the money going to Navy.
At the time of this writing, you can get The Sooners for -3.
We had Navy beating Army, but the game setup so well for The Midshipmen.
Army was playing 4 weeks in succession that started with being outclassed by Notre Dame. Navy got time off to prepare for their most important game of the year. Oklahoma has a class advantage, but many have sided with Navy because The Sooners are losing so many players including: Starting quarterback, top running back, 4 top receivers and some key defenders.
Relatively speaking, Oklahoma is pretty deep in talent:
1) They still have running back Xavier Robinson, who is and was the best at his position.
2) The freshman quarterback-Michael Hawkins had been the starter, but got replaced because he made some mistakes. He's back, and could play better with needed quarterback maturity.
3) The receivers who are leaving never really played that much and don't have that many cumulative receptions.
The big questions: Does Oklahoma still have enough quality players to have any resemblance to the team that manhandled Alabama.
The answer is no. But they could easily have enough talent left to beat Navy.
I like The Oklahoma Sooners -3
