I don't like to take such a big number, but also wouldn't be surprised to see Notre Dame close to a favorite in the final college game of the season.
They're a prime example that if not focused, almost any team is capable of losing. They were beaten by Northern Illinois in the 2nd game of their season. The Huskies then went on lose to 4 MAC opponents. Indiana is also a prime example that with the right coach, and transfer portal management that a team can get good very quickly.
At 11-1 they've impressed all season, but have played a much easier strength of schedule. Their one loss was against Ohio State, who's offense is not as impressive as other years. The Hoosiers have lost very little to the transfer portal. So far the only defections are their 4th best running back, and others who left earlier to preserve another year of eligibility. At the time of this writing Notre Dame has lost no starters. They're deep.
We saw what they did to an undefeated Army team. Their tough guys were overmatched. The game may be close early, but probably not late.
