Neither the Sun Belt nor the MAC conferences have done well in recent bowl games.
Their best players are pretty much getting poached by better programs. Things can change in 4 days, but at the time of this writing it looks like the Jaguars may be losing quite a few players to the transfer portal, including running back Fluff Bothwell who is rumored to be going to Alabama.
He's said he may be playing, but why? We'll see.
The Broncos could be without tight end Blake Bosna, who is a good blocker and 2nd on the team in receptions.
Still, it looks like the attrition rate will be higher for South Alabama.
In addition, Western Michigan may not be loaded with talent, but they will be bringing lots of upper classman veterans to Montgomery on Saturday. You've got to wonder if the Jaguars knew about some of their players leaving earlier, because they just lost to Texas State at home, while playing pretty poorly.
